Tutoring
GMC offers FREE tutoring to all of its junior college student. The tutoring service areas should be a regular stop on your way to graduation.
Hours:
Hours vary each quarter, but tutoring services are provided during the day and evening hours.
Tutoring schedules are included in the “Academic Services” handout
available in the student center, front office, E-Library, and posted on campus
bulletin boards during the first week of class each term. Tutoring is available in the subjects of English, Reading, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Usage on a regular basis.
Tutoring in other
subjects is available upon request. Please contact Academic Affairs at (229)
375-5652 for assistance with additional tutoring hours and/or subjects. Tutoring is scheduled in various classrooms or offices around campus to accommodate student needs.
These additional locations will be included in the Academic Services handout.
The Writing Lab tutors offer assistance to students in all aspects of
English including grammar, punctuation, and writing papers. One-on-one
tutorials are available to students at any time during lab operational hours. Operational hours
are posted outside the computer lab and in the Academic Services handout. The Writing Lab is
located in room 215.
The Computer Lab tutors offer assistance to students in computer usage.One-on-one
tutorials are available to students for several common Microsoft applications. Operational
hours are posted outside the computer lab and in the Academic Services handout.The Computer
Lab designated for tutoring services is located in room 414.
