Lisa A. Shead

Lisa A. Shead  is the 2012 Distinguished Graduating Student from the Augusta-Martinez campus.

When Mrs. Shed’s husband died of Leukemia in August of 2008 she decided to become a Registered Nurse. In March 2010 at age 43 she began her college career at the Augusta campus. During her time at GMC, while working full time, she managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA and has been accepted for enrollment in the Georgia Health Sciences University of Nursing, where she is already doing volunteer work on the oncology floor.  As a registered nurse Lisa hopes to continue serving those in need and pursue a Master’s Degree in nursing.
