GMC Softball
Last year’s Softball team made history with its record-breaking 28 wins, and we are looking to continue breaking records this season as well as moving toward our goals of a GJCAA Conference Championship and a trip to the National Tournament. The team’s success was due in part to the 2 all region Bulldog players. Sophomore Lindsey Blackwell was voted first team all-region at the shortstop position. Blackwell finished the season batting .424, posting 67 hits, 54 RBI’s and 9 homeruns. Many of these numbers were strong enough to lead the conference. Lindsey will move on to South Carolina where she is receiving a scholarship to play at Lander University. Freshman Kasey Durden was voted second team all-region thanks to her great job on the mound for the Bulldogs. Durden will return to the Bulldogs squad next season.
For the 2010 season, Georgia Military College Softball is proud to announce ten new additions to the 2009-2010 Lady Bulldogs roster. Mallory Long and Caroline Conn of Macon, Alex Johnson, Ashley Waites, and Adrianna Woodard of Grovetown, Kayla Cooper of McDonough, Lizzie Edwards of Gray, Olivia Sconyers of Macon, Korie Wilson of Perry, Florida, and Sarah Ray of Macon will join the seven returning Lady Bulldogs this season. .
