Intramurals
We have a very active intramural sports program on main campus. The intramural sports program is
open to all students, faculty, and staff on main campus. An extensive competitive sports program for men and women, designed to offer a wide range of
activities that will meet the needs and desires of a majority of students, is available. A positive effort is made to provide a well-organized and
supervised program.
The Student Activities Committee advises the Assistant Dean of Students as to student needs. Activities include basketball,
softball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, fishing, bowling, golf, and other activities.
Basketball and volleyball are offered during the winter quarter. Badminton and softball are offered during the spring quarter. Spades and Chess
games are offered during the year with a quarter ending tournament each grading period. The winners are presented with gift certificates. Spades
and chess are now also offered on-line. The on-line games are offered throughout our satellite schools.
Tennis is offered as a competitive sport and as a recreational sport. New tennis courts are available for the asking. Ping-pong and foose ball
supplies are available to the students.
GMC offers a college sports field day open to all
students each May. Students take the day to enjoy outdoor and indoor sports
in both team and individual competitions
